Bob Desaulniers, MEd

Bob has dedicated 40 years to public secondary education as a principal, assistant principal, athletic director, guidance counselor, school adjustment counselor, history/social sciences teacher, and been director of education at an independent school for students with learning differences. He holds a C.A.G.S. degree from Bridgewater State University, Master’s degree from UMass Boston, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross. 


Bob’s educational interests and specialties include managing conflict and engaging in successful challenging conversations with faculty, colleagues, parents, students; strengthening supervision through observations and feedback; working with paraprofessionals; supporting new teacher orientation and mentor training; developing positive school culture; team building; and all aspects of leadership development. Along with his work for AthenaK12, Bob currently serves as a faculty instructor and practicum supervisor in the Educator Leadership Institute, a program culminating in a MEd in Organizational Management from Fitchburg State University and licensure as a school administrator from MA DESE. He also serves as a mentor to school administrators and facilitates monthly round table discussion groups for school administrators.


Bob is a proud member of the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the Southbridge High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He subscribes to John Wooden’s mantra to, “Make every day your masterpiece.”
