Erin Banty, MEd
Erin E. Banty, M.Ed., is an educational leader with over 13 years of experience in K-8
administration and special education. She currently serves as a Dean of Students, where she oversees school-wide discipline, student support services, and therapeutic programming. She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Fitchburg State University through the Education Leadership Institute (ELI), a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Lesley University, and a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University. Her work focuses on restructuring school discipline systems by replacing punitive measures with PBIS and Restorative Practices, while integrating Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Trauma-Informed care into core academic structures.
As a CPI Certified Trainer and Trauma Certified professional, Erin works closely with teachers in behavioral support coaching, specializing in executive function skills and differentiated instruction for neurodiverse students. She has worked with her districts in auditing and developing specialized programs, including therapeutic sub-separate models and peer-inclusion initiatives, and she oversees supervision of the Westwood Internship Program with Lesley University. Her expertise includes optimizing master schedules to improve student-teacher connections, a subject she presented at the 2025 AMLE National Conference. She maintains professional licensure in Special Education (PreK-8 and 5-12) and Elementary Education (1-6).
