Elizabeth (Beth) Wilcox, EdD

Dr. Beth Wilcox is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Duxbury Public Schools. Beth’s expertise in literacy development, student-centered focus, and collaborative approach grounds her current work. Previous roles include being the Principal of Foster Elementary School in Hingham and Principal of Maquan and Indian Head Schools in Hanson. Beth’s commitment to empowering teachers as instructional experts, making data-informed decisions and implementing evidence-based instruction led to the Foster School’s designation of a School of Recognition in 2019. Dr. Wilcox’s experience includes leading staff through difficult change, the closing and opening of school buildings, the implementation of new curriculum programming, and navigating challenging conditions for continuous improvement.


Beth has also served as an Assistant Principal, Reading Specialist, and Classroom Teacher. Beth holds a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, an M.ED. in Reading, an M.ED. in Elementary Education, as well as a B.A. in Communication. Beth is Nationally Certified as a Principal Mentor through the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
