Maryann Perry, EdD

Dr. Maryann Perry is a retired superintendent who started her career as a special education early childhood teacher. Maryann draws on nearly forty years of experience in education as a teacher, curriculum director, administrator, assistant superintendent, and superintendent in her work as an independent consultant, providing professional development and coaching in the areas of administrator leadership development, curriculum, and instruction. In particular, she trains, mentors, and consults with districts and individuals around high-quality instructional material, tiered instruction, data analysis, literacy planning/initiatives. In her coaching and mentorship of school leaders, Maryann utilizes instructional walkthroughs, data-driven instruction, strategic planning and team building and emphasizes staff retention. She continually draws on her strong leadership background, communication skills, and adult learning platform to support educators in moving the needle for themselves, their students and their staff.


Dr. Perry holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of New England as well as Massachusetts Certifications from Superintendent to Special Education Teacher. She is a visiting professor teaching graduate students at Fitchburg State University where she has been teaching courses in School and Community Partnerships, Summative and Formative Assessment, Special Education Seminar, Success for Diverse Learners, and Curriculum and Instruction for Leadership for twenty-three years.
