Christine Francis, EdD
Christine has taught, led, and learned in urban and suburban public schools in the Greater Boston area as a teacher, staff developer, curriculum coordinator, principal, and assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction. She holds a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Boston College, CAGS and M.Ed. degrees from Lesley University, and a BA from Boston College. Her current work as an educational leadership consultant focuses on promoting diversity, equity and inclusion; fostering a strong professional culture; mentoring school and district leaders; and supporting effective and strategic leadership that emphasizes communication and collaboration among leaders and teachers.
Christine co-leads the Assistant Superintendent Leadership Seminars (ASLS) and the Assistant Superintendent Mentor Program through the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (M.A.S.S.). In addition, through AthenaK12, she co-leads an Assistant Superintendent Institute, for assistant superintendents and other district-wide leaders, and a Curriculum Leaders Institute, for curriculum leaders, department heads, and other teacher leaders.
