Wendy Pelletier Cleaves, MEd

Wendy has been a mathematics educator for over 25 years.  Currently, she serves as the K - 5 Instructional Mathematics Coach for the Quabbin Regional School District in Central MA.  Prior to this position, she was the K - 12 Math Coordinator for the Regional Science Resource Center, a math & science center servicing teachers and school leaders across Massachusetts, and started her career in the classroom as a middle school math teacher.  Throughout, she has also held the position of mathematics consultant, working with teachers and school districts in various settings, including, in-district coaching, graduate-level coursework (both online and in-person), and regional trainings and workshops.


Recently, Wendy served as a Department Editor for NCTM's journal Mathematics Teacher: Learning & Teaching, PK - 12, and she continues to serve as a Peer Reviewer for the same publication.  She herself is a published author of articles and book contributions and has also presented at both the local and national level.


Wendy specializes in helping educators provide access to grade-level mathematics for all learners.  She also loves to collaborate with teachers and students around problem solving in math and finding ways to engage students in their own learning.


Wendy holds a BA in Mathematics from Assumption University, an MEd in General Studies from Fitchburg State University, and a Masters in Mathematics for Educators from WPI.  Wendy is licensed as an elementary, middle school, and high school mathematics teacher.
