Amber Bock, MEd
Amber Bock’s has over forty years of education experience, including both teaching and administrative leadership roles in the public and private school setting. In 2024 Amber became the ninth Head of School at Shore Country Day School in Beverly, and also serves as Head of Lower School. Her extensive administrative leadership experience includes six years as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Weston Public Schools, eleven years as the principal of Bates Elementary School in Wellesley, MA, and nine years as the Superintendent of Schools in Westborough, MA, where she oversaw the education of over 4,000 students and managed a diverse team of 23 administrators. Amber has vast expertise in delivering leadership training and instructional coaching to aspiring leaders. Her teaching experience in the Newton Public Schools as well as Elyria Ohio combine with her years of leadership experience to provide her with a range of professional experiences in varied districts and communities.
While Superintendent in Westborough, Amber was an active member of the Westborough community, serving on a range of personal and professional projects to support Westborough as a connected and caring community. She served on the boards of Westborough Connects, The Good Scout Committee and a variety of town committees. Amber teaches future educational leaders for their Leadership Licensure Program, and provides private leadership and instructional coaching. She brings a depth of experiential knowledge about the importance of developing strong collaborative relationships with families and with the broader community. Over her career she has led varied program initiatives that have brought parents and faculty together to forge partnerships to solve problems collaboratively.
Amber earned her undergraduate degree in Education at Wittenberg University in Ohio, majoring in Elementary Education and Reading and her M. Ed in Administration at Boston College. She lives in Westborough MA, with her husband, and two children.
