Pamela Penna, MEd
Pamela brings experience as a classroom teacher and as a leader of curriculum and instruction design and implementation. She currently serves as the Director of Instructional Practice at the Park School in Brookline, MA, where she supports PreK through Grade 8 faculty and serves as a seventh grade advisor.
Pamela earned her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in literacy, from Lesley University and a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Massachusetts. Pamela provides customized training and coaching for individuals and teams that supports teachers as they implement new strategies targeted as their specific goals. She brings a strong knowledge base that spans effective teaching practices including, but not limited to course and unit design, culturally responsive practices, differentiated instruction, student engagement, effective assessment, classroom management, and data analysis. She continues to do a lot of professional development and training for her own growth in order to be able to bring it back to Park School. She just recently finished a foundational course in Mindfulness, which she will be implementing with faculty and students as a way to recognize the varied and possible traumatic effects of the past 1.5 years.
Pamela also facilitated the Park School Community through its creation of The Park Portrait - a portrait of a graduate. In addition, Pamela was certified in 2018 in Change Style Leadership based on the work of William Bridges. In addition to this vast skill set, Pamela brings a partnership approach and creative mindset to her work where she excels at building relationships with educators.
