Emily Parks, MEd

Emily Parks is the Executive Director at The Education Cooperative, an educational collaborative

serving 19 public school districts. Prior to her current role, she served as a classroom teacher,

Assistant Principal, and Principal at Westwood High School before becoming the Assistant Superintendent and then Superintendent of the Westwood Public Schools. Emily brings to her work a deep understanding of the work and challenging conversations that must occur to ensure that all students are successful. Emily consults on school leadership, school culture, program evaluation, supervision and evaluation, and curriculum design. She particularly enjoys working with new school leaders.


Emily has instructed undergraduate and graduate students in the MIT/Wellesley STEP program, the

Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Boston University in the teacher preparation program. For

many years, she taught aspiring principals in the Leadership Licensure Program through MSSAA and

has co-led the New Principals Institute for more than a decade.


Emily earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard College and an Ed.M in Administration, Planning,

and Social Policy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she was a Pforzheimer Fellow.

She lives in Natick with her husband and two children.
