Lorraine Tacconi-Moore, EdD

Lorraine Tacconi-Moore recently retired as Superintendent of SAU 24, a union of four school districts based in and around Henniker, New Hampshire, after serving in that position for 10 years.  Prior to her appointment there, Dr. Tacconi-Moore served as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction in Westford, Massachusetts, principal of a high school and middle school, assistant principal, and an art teacher during a career that spanned over 40 years. She currently is President of Entwining Visions, LLC.

As a superintendent, Lorraine developed a comprehensive strategic plan for the district that served as an active document for setting priorities and decision-making.  Additionally, she developed cost effective educational programming while placing the best interest of students at the core.  As an instructor for the LLPS doctoral studies and licensure program for aspiring superintendents at Boston College, she is well-versed in all aspects of leadership, with particular specialization in strategic planning, policy development, restructuring, and leadership mentoring.


In 2019, Dr. Tacconi-Moore was named Superintendent of the Year in New Hampshire. She also served as president of the New Hampshire School Administrators Association (NHSAA), Chair of the Southwest Regional Superintendents Roundtable, and was selected as a member of New Hampshire Statewide Code of Ethics Task Force. Lorraine currently works with the New Hampshire Business Coalition for Education Task Force formed to create internships, Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) and career pathways for high school students, the New Hampshire Institute for Civics Education as a facilitator for policy development, and co-leader of the Assistant Superintendent Leadership Seminars (ASLS) for the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (MASS).



Lorraine Tacconi-Moore is a graduate of Smith College.  She has a Master’s degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and an Ed.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
