Saundra Watson, MEd

Saundra Watson, M.Ed., brings 28 years of experience in education. Her leadership career includes roles as Residential Campus Supervisor, Assistant Director of the Residential Program, and classroom teacher at the Walker School in Needham; Special Education Teacher, Team Chair, and Special Education Administrator in Needham Public Schools; Assistant Principal in Newton Public Schools; Principal in Canton Public Schools; and Director of Student Services at Boston Preparatory Charter School. Throughout her career, Saundra has mentored, coached, and supported special education teachers, student teachers, related service providers, and teaching assistants.

As an administrator and former classroom instructor, she leverages her leadership positions to foster environments of mutual trust and respect inside and outside the classroom. Saundra embraces a collaborative philosophy when partnering with faculty and families, ensuring students have a positive and supportive school experience.

Education is vital in preparing young people to mature, think critically and creatively, and succeed in increasingly complex environments. Saundra is committed to maintaining a culturally responsive and anti-racist learning environment through evaluating student progress, supervising faculty and staff, and cultivating open, positive communication with families and the community. These values form the foundation for building educational systems that promote positive student behavior and multi-tiered intervention systems to support the social-emotional needs of a diverse student body.
