New principals often struggle with the numerous and unexpected demands of the job, including providing instructional leadership, supervision and evaluation, building teams, personnel issues, handling conflict, and making clear decisions – all while navigating their relationship with their superintendent and other central office administrators. 

In this session, the presenters share what they have learned from more than a decade of working with new principals and offer a road map for district leaders to help principals begin well, access ongoing support, develop confidence as leaders, and thrive in their position.
